OMBAC kept their stride and stayed on pace to make the Grand Final with a 62-28. They will now take on SFGG next week in what looks to be a winner-take-all match.
Zach Pangelinan and Nick Batger led OMBAC throughout the day with a hat-trick a piece. Pangelinan put OMBAC up early before Batger added one of his own a few minutes later. Derrick Broussard would then get in on the action after OMABC continued to have their way at the scrum. Like that OMBAC led 17-0.
Santa Monica responded with a try from Patrick King off a line out but OMBAC answered back thanks to neat passing from Garrett Jones and Nick Batger that was finished off by Batger. Santa Monica then scored via Allen Corruth to keep things close. The Dolphins may have struggled this season but they showed good play against OMBAC.
Pangelinan would add his second and and then created another with a pass to lock Albert Harmon for the score. At the break OMBAC lead 38-14. Pangelinan finished off his hat-trick soon into the second half before Batger added his third.
Santa Monica did do well at the end of the match to grab a try through King after they stole the line out. Manuel Aranda, who had grabbed the stolen line out, then scored another try for the Dolphins to give them some life. However, Broussard and Ian Denham finished out the match for OMBAC with tries.
OMBAC sit in playoff position at the moment but if they fall to SFGG they could lose that spot. Santa Monica will play Denver.
