Despite making the trip to California for the third week in a row the Glendale Raptors emerged with a big 52-0 win over the Santa Monica Dolphins to start the season with a 3-0 record.
Straight from the start Glendale were active as they dominated territory and possession. That said, it did take a dozen minutes for them to break through but once they did the gates opened and they were able to score eight tries on the day led by a hat-trick from Martin Knoetze.
Zach Pauga got things started for the Raptors and he was soon joined by Dewon Reed and two Knoetze efforts before halftime for a 26-0 lead. In the second half Knoetze would score again along with Dannie Papike, Peter Dahl, and Luke White.
